• Prepare and secure the site area.
• Protect furniture and floors with tarpaulins. Identify the type of substrate (plaster, wood, plastic, metal, etc.).
• Prepare the surfaces and the products to be applied.
• Check the condition of the surface coatings.
• Carry out and apply coatings to substrates.
• Paint and/or repaint attractions and decorations.
• Choose a paint or coating suited to the material.
• Prepare the surface to be covered.
• Paint, varnish, apply the coating, etc.
• Strip old paint.
• Fill cracks.

• Know how to apply varnishes and resins.
• Know how to sand.
• Know how to apply filling, smoothing and finishing plaster.
  Be able to create decorations (imitation wood, patina, trompe-l'œil, gilding, etc.).
• Master a number of techniques, such as handling tools and application techniques (levelling, trowelling, brush painting, etc.).
• Knowing how to adapt the coating to the substrate.
• Know how to apply the safety instructions required on a painting site.
• Be able to work alone as well as in a team.
• Be able to adapt to changes.
• Be rigorous, precise, organised and meticulous.

Initial experience in building painting is desirable.
